About Us
Learn about BECA's mission, values, and impact in providing educational opportunities to the rising generation in rural Guatemala.
Who We Are
BECA (Bridging Education Costs for All) was founded in 2018 to provide educational opportunities to students eager to learn but unable to afford school. Working in the highlands of Guatemala, we support students from kindergarten to post-secondary programs like university and technical schools.

Why We Exist
Guatemala is one of the most beautiful places in the world. However, it's people are facing serious challenges. Unemployment is widespread, and education is expensive and inaccessible for many. Families struggle to survive, with some earning as little as $25 a month to support six to eight people.
In Los Robles and surrounding Mayan villages, parents desperately want their children to succeed, but the costs are overwhelming. BECA exists to break this cycle of poverty by providing scholarships and support to those who need it most.
A Refugee Prevention Program
Rather than responding to crises after they happen, BECA works to prevent them. By providing education, we empower students and families to thrive in their homeland—keeping family farms productive, artisans self-sustaining, and communities vibrant.
Education is the key to better health, nutrition, and economic opportunities while preserving the rich Mayan culture.

Partnering for Impact
BECA works alongside organizations like Humanitize Expeditions to bring volunteers to Guatemala. These teams teach health education, perform music and plays, fit children with glasses, and encourage students to stay in school. Together, we uplift communities and inspire hope for a brighter future.
